Day 54 Report

.Day 54 19/7/07 - Enjoying Bourke

Steve's Report: First up we met Allan Murdock and discussed some unique problems he had, like local kids breaking off over 100 water meters in January this year.

Then it was off to Koinonia Christian School where we warmed up doing a presentation inside near the pot belly stove.

After that we went to Bourke Public School and talked to a year six group who were doing work on the Darling River system. It was great to be back talking to the kids again and some of them are looking forward to seeing their photo on the web site.

Sorry kids but we have decided with our web site designers that the law is too strict for us to be able to put them on the web. We apologise for telling you that we would, but unfortunately we are not really allowed to do it unless we get a written consent from each of your parents for the photo.

A bloke called Mick gave us an extra locking nut to go on the bolt that holds the tow ball assembly in place. He runs a manufacturing company. Interestingly he was the one camping on the river upstream with the red marquee. They had up to 22 people there at times and had a great couple of weeks out in the bush. Fishing was not much good though with only three yellow bellies and two cod. Thanks for the help MIck.

This one is for Bruce to enjoy along
